All of our chains are made of high-quality jewelry grade 316 Stainless Steel.

We chose this material not only for its hypoallergenic properties but also because it is the most reciclable metal available.

 

Today, stainless steel is made up of approximately 60% recycled content including: 25% reclaimed scrap, 35% industrial scrap, 40% new raw materials.

 

Stainless steel is also 100% recyclable. When a product finally reaches the end of its long service life, it remains a valuable source of its main alloying elements - chromium, nickel and molybdenum. These can be easily recovered and returned to
the production process.

 

This metal is extremely strong and durable. It does not tarnish, corrode (will never go black) and will not discolour your skin.

 

The process used for our Gold products is IP Plating (Ion plating). The center of the circle is Stainless Steel followed by a layer of titanium nitride used as a bonding agent, finished with a layer of 18ct gold, all fused together to produce a harder and more durable coating with a higher brightness than that produced through traditional plating methods.

 

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is an environmentally friendly vacuum coating process that actually permeates and bonds with the base metal. This provides a brilliant finish and an extremely tough, durable, long lasting coating. It is also suitable for sensitive skin.

Our plated jewellery is tarnish resistant, sweat/ regular wear resistant and will last for years if cared for correctly. If it’s not cared for in the best way, like any metal it will dull in colour over time.

 

To extend the life of your jewelery and prevent this we recommend the following:

★ Avoid bathing or swimming with the necklace on.

★ Creams, make up, sun tan lotion, body oils, deodorant, antibacterial soap and other products contain harsh chemicals which can destroy the plating.

 

If your jewellery does come into contact with any of the above, after each wear make sure you dry it, clean it with warm soapy water and gently wipe dry with a soft cloth.

 

Because we are a small business we ship only once a week on Fridays, with all of our orders from the week.
